The Greeters Ministry will welcome you and help you find where you want to go, if it’s finding the coat rack, the sanctuary, a Sunday School class, or whatever. We’ll be glad that you’re here!
Music and Fine Arts Ministry
At the core of the church is its worship of God. The worship hour is the prime time of Calvary’s congregational life. The Music Ministry desires to bring God our very best and recognizes that music is important in the African American Church, and complementary to the Preached Word.
The Music Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church is active and diverse. God is not through with us yet! We perform seasonal cantatas, but we also annually produce a Jazz or Gospel Service in Song that is always well received. Anthems, hymns, gospel, spirituals, and praise & worship selections are sung by ensembles and our Mass Choir, in addition to our existing choirs which include:

The Drama, Flag, and Dance Ministries enhance our worship services and special events. Multi-age groups express their individuality, creativity and faith through active participation.
Bus Ministry
Do you need a ride to church? We’ll be glad to pick you up at no charge for Worship Services, Sunday School, and certain special events. The church is wheel-chair accessible. Just call (414) 372-1450 weekdays.
New Members Ministry
As a new member, you’ll get connected right away. Along with other new members, you’ll get on the road to growing your faith. You’ll also get to determine your God-given Spiritual Gifts and see how you can apply them in service to Him. You’ll find out what Calvary Baptist Church can offer you and what you can offer to others.
Deacons Ministry
Deacons supplement and support the pastor and serve as liaisons. They comfort, support, and encourage people, and help to meet their needs. They also lead devotional services, serve communion, lead the Family Ministry and are concerned with the church overall.
Deaconess Ministry
Deaconesses provide spiritual mentoring to women and children. They prepare and assist with serving the Lord’s Supper, prepare candidates for the Baptismal Ceremony, assist the ministerial staff, lead devotional services, and co-lead the Family Ministry.
Ushers
Ushers help worship services move smoothly. The Senior Ushers mentor the Youth Ushers to continue a long tradition, and frequently fellowship with other churches in southeastern Wisconsin.
Media and Marketing Ministry
The intent of connecting with people through the use of various kinds of technology, is to effectively share the Word beyond the walls of the church building and to invite and welcome people to Calvary Baptist Church.
Fellowship Ministry
Refreshments follow most worship services and other events. They are served by the Fellowship Ministry. This offers guests and members an opportunity to visit and get to know one another.
